This full-time leadership role in York, PA offers an opportunity to direct pharmacy operations in a critical access illness recovery hospital specializing in inpatient post-ICU care for chronic, critically ill patients. The facility is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centered services by fostering a culture that celebrates success, drives innovation, and builds trust among clinical teams.
As the Director of Pharmacy, you will collaborate closely with the CEO and multidisciplinary clinical staff to oversee all aspects of the pharmacy department. Your responsibilities will include managing clinical, operational, and administrative functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as The Joint Commission and CMS, and administering the Adverse Drug Reaction Program. You will play a key role in developing training programs, participating in quality assurance initiatives, monitoring patient drug therapies, and introducing at least one new clinically oriented program annually. Additionally, you will promote an environment of continuous quality improvement while providing education and counseling to patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of all educational requirements for state licensure
- Minimum of three (3) years hospital pharmacy experience within the last five years
- Current state pharmacy license in good standing
- BLS certification if required by the state
Preferred:
- PharmD or BS in Pharmacy with an advanced degree or hospital pharmacy residency completion
- At least one (1) year in a managerial or leadership role
- Board Certification and/or residency preferred
