Pharmacist | Alamogordo, New Mexico

An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist in Alamogordo, NM, offering a rewarding retail pharmacy role with day shifts and a flexible schedule that may include part-time, PRN, or travel assignments. Location: Alamogordo, NM
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM (No weekends)
Job Type: Contract (with part-time, PRN, and travel options)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy staff, including recruitment and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmacy operations.
• Conduct comprehensive medication reviews and manage medication therapy activities.
• Provide expert drug information to customers, addressing interactions, side effects, and proper storage.
• Maintain security and quality assurance protocols, including control of hazardous and controlled substances.
• Lead pharmacy personnel in achieving operational and quality goals.
• Prepare and dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions and standards.
• Maintain current licenses, training records, and participate in ongoing professional education.
• Manage pharmacy records, document medication errors, and maintain clean and organized pharmacy spaces.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree required.
• Current New Mexico pharmacist license.
• 1 to 3 years’ experience as a registered pharmacist.
• 1 to 2 years of management experience preferred.
• Retail 340B experience is a plus.
• APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certification required.
