A pharmacy leadership opportunity is available in Plattsburgh, NY for a licensed Pharmacist ready to take on a direct hire role with flexible scheduling options including evening shifts and extended workdays (4x10 or 4x12 hour schedules, e.g., 8am–8pm). This position offers the chance to lead the pharmacy department while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
- Manage pharmacy operations to meet financial goals including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and third-party administration.
- Oversee pharmacy support personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance reviews to maintain high standards.
- Participate actively in business development efforts within the store and community.
- Deliver patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
- Counsel patients and healthcare providers on drug usage, interactions, side effects, and therapeutic outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with continuous quality improvement and training programs.
- Keep the pharmacy workspace organized and compliant with legal and company policies.
- Complete continuing education as required by state law.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current New York pharmacist license.
- Immunization certification with confidence in administering all vaccine types.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proven ability to ensure regulatory compliance and promote optimal pharmacy operations.
