Staff Pharmacist Outpatient Retail Pharmacy

We are seeking a customer-focused Staff Pharmacist to join a busy outpatient retail pharmacy serving the Cooperstown community. This full-time contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to work with advanced pharmacy technology while making a meaningful impact on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
• Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence.
• Provide immunization services.
• Support the Meds to Beds program for hospital patients.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care.
• Process prescriptions using PioneerRx and EPIC.
• Deliver exceptional customer service with every patient interaction.
• Occasionally provide coverage at nearby pharmacy locations as needed for vacation or sick coverage.

Work Hours

• Full-time contract
• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week

Experience

• Retail or outpatient pharmacy experience required.
• Experience in a high-volume pharmacy preferred (approximately 1,100 prescriptions per week).
• PioneerRx experience preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Experience providing immunizations preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Active New York Pharmacist license in good standing.

Compensation for this position ranges from $55.00 to $78.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
