Travel Pharmacist | Aleknagik, Alaska

A unique opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to travel to Aleknagik, Alaska, supporting a Tribal health facility with no Alaska pharmacist license required. This role combines both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy duties, providing a diverse and rewarding experience in a beautiful and remote setting.

This position is ideal for pharmacists who have retail experience and a spirit of adventure, looking to expand their professional horizons while enjoying a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm with no call and no weekend obligations.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications and provide pharmaceutical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Utilize Cerner for electronic health records and pharmacy management.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient therapy.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facility protocols.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist, active and in good standing.
• Experience in retail pharmacy preferred.
• Comfortable adapting to new environments and handling mixed pharmacy duties.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Location:

• Aleknagik, Alaska – Tribal health facility.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
• No nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.

This travel assignment begins ASAP, with a duration of at least 13 weeks and the possibility of transitioning to a temp-to-hire arrangement. The facility covers round-trip airfare and provides housing accommodations.
