Pharmacist - Alexandria, Louisiana

A part-time Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) position is available at an Opioid Treatment Center located in Alexandria, Louisiana. This contract role offers a 1-year duration with the possibility of extension or transition to permanent employment. The schedule includes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM, totaling 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist in Charge
• Conduct chart reviews and maintain thorough, accurate documentation
• Verify and, when necessary, fill prescriptions, especially in the absence of technician support
• Prepare and complete internal reports and forms using Microsoft Excel
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Ability to work independently when technician assistance is unavailable
• Limited direct patient interaction unless specifically needed
• No billing or insurance processing required

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing with no disciplinary history
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience
• Experience in substance abuse or opioid treatment settings highly preferred, though not mandatory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and documentation purposes
