Per Diem Pharmacist | Alexandria, Virginia

Seeking an experienced pharmacist to support a pharmacy clinic in a nonprofit setting. This per diem opportunity focuses on delivering exceptional pharmacy services within a patient-centered environment. The pharmacy processes approximately 50 to 80 prescriptions daily, supported by one pharmacy technician, with order entry conducted using DRX software—known for its user-friendly interface.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and counsel patients on proper usage.
• Utilize DRX system for order entry and medication review.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy technician and clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain compliance with state pharmacy laws and clinic policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service tailored to the needs of the nonprofit clinic population.

Qualifications:

• Active Virginia pharmacy license.
• Prior retail pharmacy experience with demonstrated competency.
• Ability to operate within a small team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working during the day shift hours of 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Schedule & Location:

• Per diem schedule starting November 4, with additional shifts available at the end of November and throughout December.
• Located in Alexandria, VA.
• Day shifts, Monday through Friday.
