Per Diem Pharmacist | Allentown, Pennsylvania

A pharmacy opportunity is available for a Per Diem Pharmacist to support weekday and weekend shifts. This role offers flexibility along with the potential for long-term placement or transition to full-time hours based on performance and organizational needs.

The position welcomes candidates from retail backgrounds, including new graduates eager to develop their skills. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure success. Throughout each shift, pharmacists are supported by experienced pharmacy technicians, typically staffed with two technicians during peak hours and one technician during slower periods, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Schedule:

• Tuesday & Thursday: 1 PM – 8 PM
• Some weekends:
  • Saturday: 8 AM – 4 PM
  • Sunday: 10 AM – 2 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescriptions and counsel patients on medication usage
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines
• Assist in inventory management and medication stock control
• Provide excellent patient service and answer medication-related inquiries

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred but not required
