We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week hospital assignment in Alturas, California. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative pharmacy team in a rural acute care setting while enjoying a flexible schedule and meaningful patient interaction.
The ideal candidate will have recent inpatient hospital experience and be comfortable working a variety of shifts, including occasional weekends.

Responsibilities
Verify and review medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
Dispense medications in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Monitor medication therapies and provide clinical recommendations
Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
Assist with medication inventory management and pharmacy operations
Support medication safety and quality assurance initiatives
Provide drug information and consultation to healthcare staff
Participate in daily inpatient pharmacy workflow and patient care activities
Required Qualifications
Active California Pharmacist License
Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience within the last 3 years
Strong medication order verification skills
Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in acute care hospital settings
Experience with pharmacy automation and electronic health record systems
Flexibility to work varied schedules and weekend shifts
