Pharmacist - Amherst, Virginia

A Pharmacist is needed to provide expert pharmaceutical care at a small LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) hospital with a daily patient census of approximately 10. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a specialized healthcare setting focused on complex, long-term patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and dispense medications accurately and safely
• Review and interpret physician orders, ensuring compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes
• Monitor patient medication regimens and provide clinical interventions as needed
• Maintain proper documentation and assist with inventory control

Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacist license in Virginia (VA) required
• Prior hospital experience preferred, with familiarity in LTAC or acute care settings strongly valued

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shift
