A healthcare facility located near Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a skilled Oncology Pharmacist to join their outpatient infusion/cancer center. This role is a direct hire opportunity within a ~400-bed hospital setting, providing specialized pharmaceutical care to oncology patients.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Day shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians in daily operations
- Collaborate closely with oncologists, nurses, and physicians to optimize cancer treatment regimens
- Utilize Allscripts for medication management and documentation
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Pharmacist license
- Completion of PGY2 residency or approximately 3+ years of oncology pharmacy experience in a cancer center
- Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) certification is preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge in oncology pharmacotherapy and infusion services
