This 13-week+ contract position offers a vital role working flexible day and afternoon shifts, supporting quality patient outcomes through comprehensive pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety
• Oversee and support pharmacy technicians in daily operations
• Collaborate closely with nursing and physician staff for consultation and clinical support
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient medication therapies
• Utilize Paragon/Allscripts order entry systems for efficient workflow
• Manage automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis) to maintain inventory and access security

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current pharmacist license in good standing
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy practices, including order verification and medication dispensing
• Experience with hospital pharmacy automation tools such as Pyxis
• Proficiency with Paragon and Allscripts order entry systems preferred
• Excellent communication skills to provide clinical consultation and collaborate with healthcare teams
