A healthcare facility in Anaheim, CA is seeking a skilled Pharmacist for per diem coverage. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a well-established clinical environment while supporting a licensed bed capacity of 173 and an average daily census of 140 patients. The assignment is expected to last 13 weeks or longer, with variable day and afternoon shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Provide supervision and oversight to pharmacy technicians.
• Consult with nursing staff and physicians to optimize pharmacological care.
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles in patient care.
• Utilize Allscripts/Paragon for order entry and manage medications through Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current valid pharmacist license to practice.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations in a hospital setting.
• Experience with Allscripts/Paragon systems and Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets preferred.
