Pharmacist - Antioch, TN

An opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to support a busy mail order renal specialty pharmacy operating in Antioch, TN. This role is a 13-week contract position with potential to convert to contract-to-hire, working 40 hours per week on a Monday through Friday schedule from 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

The pharmacy processes approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily and utilizes the Wellsky order entry system without automation. No on-call duties are required, allowing focus on direct pharmacy tasks during established hours.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions
• Conducting final verification processes to ensure accuracy of medications
• Verifying that the medication in the bottle or box is correct according to prescription
• Confirming directions and prescription details match the hard copy

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license and credentials in good standing
• Experience with pharmacist verification processes, PV1 and PV2 preferred
• Familiarity with mail order or specialty pharmacy settings a plus
• Proficient in pharmacy order entry systems (experience with Wellsky is advantageous)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
