An opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist to support a busy renal specialty mail-order pharmacy. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and safety of prescriptions through thorough verification processes. Location:

• Antioch, TN

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM
• 40 hours per week

Contract Details:

• 13+ week contract, with potential contract-to-hire

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions
• Perform final verification of filled prescriptions to confirm the correct medication, packaging, and directions
• Cross-check prescription details against hard copies to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Utilize the Wellsky order entry system to manage prescription verification
• Maintain high standards of patient safety with no requirement for on-call duties

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with experience in prescription verification
• Familiarity with specialty pharmacy settings, particularly renal or similar healthcare areas, preferred
• Proficient with pharmacy order entry systems, experience with Wellsky is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams efficiently
