A pharmacist opportunity is available for a 13-week contract with potential for contract-to-hire, working at a mail order renal specialty pharmacy that fills approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. The role supports pharmacy operations by ensuring accuracy and safety in the dispensing process through thorough verification functions.

Location:

• Antioch, TN

Schedule & Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM shift
• 40 hours per week
• Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) duties, including final verification processes.
• Confirm accuracy of medication in bottles/boxes.
• Verify prescription information, including directions, against hard copies to ensure safety and compliance.
• Utilize the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system; no automation involved.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain workflow efficiency.
• No on-call responsibilities required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with appropriate credentials to practice.
• Experience with pharmacy verification processes and prescription accuracy.
• Familiarity with mail order or specialty pharmacy operations is preferred.
