Pharmacist - Antioch, TN

A mail order renal specialty pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist with experience managing a high volume of prescriptions in a fast-paced setting. This contract role requires someone ready for an ASAP start who is open to a temporary position, as temp-to-hire opportunities depend on business needs and cannot be guaranteed.

The pharmacy processes approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily using the Wellsky order entry system without automation. This role does not require on-call duties, allowing for a more predictable schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions
• Conducting final verification of medications, ensuring the correct drug is in the bottle or box
• Verifying directions and prescription details against the original hard copy for accuracy

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years in a high-volume pharmacy environment
• Familiarity with mail order or specialty pharmacy operations is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Positive attitude and professionalism in a collaborative team setting
