Pharmacist - Antioch, TN

A mail order renal specialty pharmacy is seeking experienced Pharmacists for immediate contract opportunities. The pharmacy processes approximately 1,000 high-volume prescriptions daily, requiring skilled professionals who can maintain accuracy and efficiency under pressure. This role is ideal for pharmacists who thrive in fast-paced environments and are open to temporary assignments with no guarantee of conversion to permanent employment.

Available Shifts:

• 2nd Shift: 1:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday (2 openings)
• Evening Shift: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday (1 opening)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) processes
• Conduct final verification of prescriptions, ensuring the correct medication and accurate prescription details
• Verify directions and prescription information against hard copies to maintain patient safety and compliance
• Operate the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system; no automation technologies involved
• Support the pharmacy’s mail order renal specialty focus with precision and attention to detail
• No on-call duties required

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years of high-volume pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in medication verification
• Positive, professional demeanor with a team-focused attitude
• Willingness to accept a contract-only role with an ASAP start date
• Experience in mail order or specialty pharmacy settings is advantageous
