An opening opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in the Apopka, FL area, with the option for temp-to-hire employment. This role supports an institutional pharmacy specializing in Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Centers and Assisted Living Communities, ensuring patient-centered pharmaceutical services tailored to facility needs.
Location: Apopka, FL (Near North Orlando)
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts, primarily 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM
- Every other weekend includes a day shift: 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM
- Flexible shift options available with possible shorter hours: 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM or 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense unit-dose medications accurately to meet the requirements of skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities
- Maintain detailed and customized medical records, supporting facilities using electronic medical record systems with bi-directional interfaces
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and pharmacy best practices
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and facility staff to optimize patient care
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist with active licensure to practice in Florida
- Experience working in institutional, skilled nursing, or assisted living pharmacy settings preferred
- Strong understanding of medication distribution systems and electronic medical records
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
