Per Diem Pharmacist - Apple River, Illinois

Provide critical pharmaceutical support as a Per Diem Pharmacist covering a retail location, ensuring the accurate dispensing and safe administration of medications under managerial supervision. This role offers PRN coverage for specific dates in Galena, Illinois, with shifts on the first shift from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm using Pioneer software.

Location: Apple River, IL (with coverage in Galena, IL) Schedule:

• August 20-21 and September 1
• 1st Shift: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
• Per Diem position

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications safely and efficiently while complying with regulations.
• Counsel patients regarding medication regimens, usage, and side effects.
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Maintain accurate stock records and controlled substance inventories.
• Resolve patient issues related to medications and third-party coverage.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear pharmacist license in Illinois is required.
• Minimum of one year experience working in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Proficiency with Pioneer pharmacy software is advantageous.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy under supervision.
