A Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital in Appomattox, VA, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support its pharmacy operations. This position involves providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to a specialized patient population requiring extended medical attention.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense and verify medications accurately in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy plans for complex cases.
- Monitor patient outcomes and provide drug information and education.
- Maintain proper documentation and adherence to hospital policies.
- Ensure the safe storage and handling of pharmaceuticals within the LTAC facility.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pharmacist license to practice.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy settings, preferably in LTAC or acute care environments.
- Strong knowledge of medication management and pharmacy law.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, daytime shifts.
- Immediate start available.
- Contract duration of 13 weeks or more.
