An opportunity is available for skilled pharmacists to provide expert pharmaceutical support at a healthcare facility located on the California Central Coast. This contract position offers two day shift roles and two night shift roles to accommodate varied preferences.

Location:

  • San Luis Obispo, CA area

Schedule/Hours:

  • Two Day Pharmacists: Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
  • Two Night Pharmacists: Rotating schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off (9:00 PM to 7:30 AM)

Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders efficiently and accurately
  • Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians in daily operations
  • Consult with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care
  • Perform pharmacokinetic assessments to ensure therapeutic effectiveness

Qualifications:

  • Valid California pharmacist license
  • Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience
  • Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems preferred

Additional Details:

  • Immediate start availability is a priority
  • Contract duration: 13 weeks or more
  • Candidates should specify availability for day or night shifts when applying
