Pharmacist in Arvin, CA

A travel opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to support a 45-bed community hospital in Bakersfield, CA. This role requires an adaptable professional with solid inpatient pharmacy experience to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a fast-paced hospital environment utilizing Cerner IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely in alignment with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy for patients.
• Manage medication inventory and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in rounds and provide drug information as needed.
• Utilize Cerner pharmacy systems for order verification and documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacist license.
• 2-3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Cerner or comparable pharmacy IT systems.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week.
• Variable days and afternoon shifts; start times at 7:30 AM or 1:30 PM.
