Pharmacist in Arvin, CA

A 45-bed community hospital in the Bakersfield area is seeking a qualified pharmacist for a 13-week contract position. This role is ideal for candidates with inpatient pharmacy experience who are licensed in California and ready to contribute immediately to patient care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Location:

• Arvin, CA (near Bakersfield)

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Variable days and afternoon shifts
• Shift start times: 7:30 AM or 1:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely within an inpatient hospital setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy
• Utilize Cerner IT systems for managing pharmacy operations and patient records
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and best pharmacy practices

Qualifications:

• Current California Pharmacist license required
• Minimum 2-3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner or similar hospital IT systems
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work flexible shifts
