This opportunity is for a travel pharmacist position at a 45-bed community hospital in Bakersfield, CA, offering a chance to apply your skills in a dynamic inpatient setting. You will be essential in supporting pharmacy operations and patient care within a hospital utilizing Cerner IT systems.

Location: Bakersfield, CA
Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Variable days and afternoon shifts
• Shift start times at 7:30 AM or 1:30 PM

Contract Details:

• Immediate start date
• 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and provide clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient hospital environment
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety
• Utilize Cerner pharmacy systems for documentation and medication management
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and hospital standards for pharmacy practice

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active California Pharmacist license
• 2-3 years of experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting
• Proficiency with hospital pharmacy operations and electronic systems (Cerner preferred)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work flexible shifts as required
