An experienced inpatient pharmacist opportunity is available in North/Central Ohio, supporting hospital sites in Galion or Ontario. This contract position spans 26 weeks and offers a flexible shift schedule with start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM, including working every fourth weekend. Both hospital locations utilize the EPIC system and offer engaging inpatient pharmacy environments with 25 beds in Galion and 40 beds in Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee typical inpatient pharmacy duties, including medication dispensing and monitoring.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate and efficient service.
- Maintain clean room oversight to comply with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including doctors and nurses, to optimize patient care.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and foster a collaborative work environment.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and active Ohio pharmacist license.
- Proven inpatient pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record systems.
- Ability to work independently while embracing kindness, responsibility, confidence, and collaboration.
- Experience supervising pharmacy technicians preferred.
