Pharmacist in Athens, OH

Serve as a key pharmacist within a 25-bed hospital facility located in Logan, OH, supporting specialized departments including Emergency, Infusion, and Orthopedics. This contract opportunity begins between September 8th and 14th, lasting for 13 weeks with the potential for extension. Work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week primarily Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with some on-call responsibilities after shifts and occasional Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing medication orders and overseeing pharmaceutical care utilizing the EPIC order entry system.
• Collaborating with clinical teams in Emergency, Infusion, and Orthopedic units to ensure safe and effective medication usage.
• Providing expert pharmaceutical guidance and support in patient care decisions.
• Handling on-call duties to address urgent pharmacy needs and emergencies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Ohio Pharmacist license.
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Proficiency with EPIC order entry system is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medication management within specialized hospital areas.
