Pharmacist in Atlanta, GA

An established compounding pharmacy is seeking two experienced Pharmacist Team Leads to oversee and mentor their Data and Logistics Technician team. This direct hire opportunity offers a chance to lead within a busy pharmacy environment specializing in sterile and non-sterile compounded medications, serving hundreds of prescriptions daily. The ideal candidates will combine strong leadership skills with hands-on pharmacy verification expertise in a specialty or retail setting.

Location: On-site in Sandy Springs, GA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (with occasional 8:00 AM monthly meetings)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of pharmacy technicians to ensure high morale, efficiency, and accuracy
• Perform high-speed, precise PV1 verifications and prescription checks compliant with safety and regulatory standards
• Manage customer service escalations, supporting patients and healthcare providers with complex inquiries
• Oversee daily workflows for prescription processing, data entry, and logistics to ensure seamless handoffs among departments
• Collaborate with pharmacy, lab, and shipping leadership to maintain cross-departmental alignment and operational excellence
• Drive continuous improvements in process efficiency while maintaining zero-defect accuracy

Qualifications & Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree with an active, good-standing Georgia Pharmacist License
• Proven leadership experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings, managing pharmacy technician teams
• Demonstrated speed and accuracy in prescription processing and PV1 verification
• Strong communication skills with a commitment to exceptional customer service
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities and excellent time management
