A dynamic mail order and renal specialty pharmacy is seeking a knowledgeable pharmacist with high-volume dispensing experience for an engaging contract opportunity in Atlanta, GA. Handling approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily, this role demands precision, speed, and a strong commitment to patient safety.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced pharmacy setting and demonstrate a professional, positive attitude. This 13-week contract (with potential to convert to contract-to-hire) requires flexibility and dedication to ensuring accuracy during final verification stages.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions to ensure medication accuracy.
  • Conduct final verification processes including confirmation of the correct medication in bottles or boxes.
  • Verify prescription directions and information against hard copy prescriptions.
  • Utilize the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system effectively in a non-automated environment.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to support high-volume prescription processing without on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a high-volume pharmacy environment.
  • Proven ability to perform final verification duties with high accuracy.
  • Experience with pharmacy order entry systems; familiarity with Wellsky is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Professional demeanor with a positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Open to a temporary role for the duration of the contract.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM
  • 40 hours per week
