Pharmacist | Atlanta, Georgia

A pharmacy position is available for an experienced pharmacist with strong skills in high-volume settings. This contract role offers an opportunity to contribute to a busy mail order and renal specialty pharmacy environment known for approximately 1,000 prescriptions filled daily. The position is based in Atlanta, GA, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions
• Conducting final verification of prescriptions to ensure accuracy of medication dispensed
• Verifying medication bottles/boxes and directions against hard copy prescriptions
• Ensuring all prescription information complies with regulatory and safety standards
• Utilizing the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system for order processing; no automation system is in place
• Maintaining a positive attitude while managing a fast-paced workflow without on-call responsibilities

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of pharmacist experience in a high-volume pharmacy setting
• Proficiency with pharmacy verification processes and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a mail order and renal specialty pharmacy environment
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Willingness to accept a temporary-only role with potential for contract-to-hire extension
