Schedule:
- 7 days on, 7 days off
- Night shift: 9 pm to 7 am
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders with a high level of accuracy
- Supervise pharmacy technicians during night shifts
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient dosing
- Collaborate closely with nurses and physicians to provide clinical consultations
- Maintain workflow efficiency and address any issues during solo pharmacist coverage
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Georgia pharmacist license
- Minimum of one year’s recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Confidence in functioning as the sole pharmacist on night shift alongside technicians
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably EPIC
- Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing systems is a strong plus
- Strong foundation in hospital pharmacy operations and clinical services
