Pharmacist in Avon, IL

A pharmacist opportunity is available at a small, 25-bed hospital in a rural Illinois setting. This role focuses on delivering expert pharmaceutical care within a hospital environment. The position is a 13-week contract with the possibility of extension, working primarily Monday through Friday with potential weekend rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and monitor medication within the hospital setting ensuring patient safety
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy for patients
• Implement and oversee medication protocols including nutritional support and IV therapy
• Utilize pharmacokinetics principles to tailor medication plans and dosing adjustments

Qualifications and Experience:

• Illinois pharmacist license required
• Minimum of 1 year recent hospital pharmacy experience
• Additional training or certification in nutritional support, IV therapy, and pharmacokinetics is preferred
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and standards

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend rotations may be required
