Pharmacist in Avon, IL

A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care in a small hospital setting. This role is based in a rural Illinois hospital, featuring a close-knit healthcare team dedicated to delivering quality patient outcomes in a 25-bed facility.

Location:

• Macomb, IL

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Potential weekend rotation

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately to patients within the hospital
• Collaborate with medical staff to provide pharmaceutical care and optimize medication therapies
• Participate in medication management, including nutritional support and IV therapy
• Monitor patient responses and provide dosage adjustments based on pharmacokinetics principles
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and pharmacy regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Illinois Pharmacist license required
• At least 1 year of recent hospital pharmacy experience
• Additional training or expertise in nutritional support, IV therapy, and pharmacokinetics is highly beneficial
