Pharmacist in Bagley, MN

A pharmacy professional position is available for a Pharmacist to support hospital pharmacy operations in Bemidji, MN. This role involves working closely with clinical teams to ensure safe and effective medication use in a 200-bed hospital setting.

Location: Bemidji, MN
Type: Contract – 13 weeks +
Schedule: 2nd shift (approximately 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM), 7 days on / 7 days off

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders promptly and accurately to ensure patient safety
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient pharmacy workflow
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to provide expert medication consultation and optimize therapy
• Monitor pharmacokinetics for complex dosing adjustments and therapeutic drug monitoring
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication management systems to support pharmacy operations

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current Minnesota Pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred to efficiently handle the demands of an inpatient setting
• Strong knowledge of medication order verification and clinical pharmacy practices
• Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly advantageous
