Pharmacist in Bainbridge Island, WA

A pharmacist opportunity is available for a qualified professional to support inpatient pharmacy distribution functions. This contract role offers a dynamic work environment with variable days and afternoon shifts, providing 8-hour work periods. The position starts as soon as possible and is expected to last 16 weeks, with potential for temp-to-hire conversion.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing order verification using Epic software
• Conducting final product verification checks to ensure medication accuracy and safety
• Providing clinical support by answering drug information queries
• Overseeing pharmacy technician activities to maintain efficient workflow
• Participating in Code Blue and emergency response situations
• Utilizing IT systems such as Epic and Pyxis for pharmacy operations

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with relevant state credentials
• Experience with inpatient pharmacy order verification and distribution
• Proficiency in Epic and Pyxis systems preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to respond accurately to drug information requests
• Ability to lead and supervise pharmacy technicians effectively
• Comfort and capability in emergency response participation
