Pharmacist in Bainbridge Island, WA

An opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy operations at a healthcare facility near Seattle. This contract role is set to start ASAP and will extend for at least 16 weeks, with the potential to transition to a permanent position.

Schedule/Hours:

• Variable days and afternoon shifts
• 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately using Epic systems
• Perform final product verification checks to ensure patient safety
• Provide expert responses to clinical and drug information inquiries
• Supervise and oversee pharmacy technician activities
• Participate actively in Code Blue and emergency response situations
• Utilize technologies including Epic and Pyxis to support pharmacy workflow

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist licensure in the state of Washington
• Experience with inpatient pharmacy distribution and order verification
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record systems and Pyxis automation
• Strong clinical knowledge to address drug information questions confidently
• Ability to lead and manage pharmacy support staff effectively
• Preparedness to respond swiftly in emergency medical scenarios
