Pharmacist - Bakersfield, CA

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist at a 45-bed community hospital located in Bakersfield, CA. This role requires providing exceptional pharmaceutical services in a fast-paced inpatient setting utilizing Cerner IT systems.

Schedule/Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Variable days and afternoons
• Shifts start at 7:30 AM or 1:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and provide clinical pharmacy services
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
• Utilize Cerner for medication orders, documentation, and inventory management
• Monitor patient medication therapies and identify potential issues or drug interactions
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and safety protocols

Desired Experience:

• Current California Pharmacist license required
• 2 to 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records highly desirable
• Ability to adapt to variable scheduling and work independently
