Staff Pharmacist – Behavioral Health Specialty Pharmacy
Baltimore, MD | Contract | Full Time (3–5 days/week)

An established specialty pharmacy focusing on behavioral health medications is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist to provide short-term coverage. This full-time role offers the flexibility of working 3 to 5 days per week, ideally 3 days, with a minimum commitment of 6+ weeks.

Location:
2760 Lighthouse Point E, Baltimore, MD 21224

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday
• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 3 to 5 days per week (candidate preference accommodated)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify the accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions, ensuring patient safety
• Provide thorough patient counseling with an emphasis on behavioral health medications
• Supervise and manage pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Collaborate with fellow pharmacists and support staff to maintain pharmacy operations

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active Maryland Pharmacist license in good standing, with no disciplinary history
• Prior experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings preferred
• Strong background working with behavioral health medications is highly desired
• Ability to work well within a team and manage technician staff effectively

Pharmacy Details:

• Handles approximately 100–200 prescriptions daily
• Utilizes PioneerRX pharmacy management system
• Supported by a team of 5 pharmacy technicians and 1 other staff pharmacist
• Two pharmacists on shift simultaneously to provide comprehensive coverage
