Pharmacist in Baltimore, MD

A specialty pharmacy focusing on behavioral health medications is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for full-time contract coverage in Baltimore, MD. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in behavioral medications within a dedicated and supportive pharmacy environment. The position requires working 3 to 5 days per week, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Contract Details:

• Full-time, 3–5 days per week
• Minimum assignment term of 6+ weeks
• Contract status: Signed

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Provide patient counseling to ensure safe medication use
• Oversee and manage pharmacy technicians, fostering a productive workflow
• Collaborate with fellow pharmacists; two pharmacists cover shifts concurrently

Pharmacy Environment:

• Daily prescription volume of approximately 100–200
• Utilization of PioneerRX pharmacy system
• Support team includes 5 pharmacy technicians and 1 additional staff pharmacist

Qualifications:

• Active Maryland Pharmacist license in good standing, with no disciplinary history
• Previous retail or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong preference for candidates experienced with behavioral health medications
