A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in Barre, Vermont, supporting a 100-bed community hospital within a university health network. This role offers an engaging work environment where your expertise in IV medication and clinical pharmacy will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform medication reconciliation and order verification to ensure patient safety.
- Manage vancomycin dosing and laboratory monitoring effectively.
- Oversee renal dosing adjustments based on patient needs.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Shift options: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, or 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy experience.
- Solid background in IV medication preparation and administration.
- Current Vermont pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain a provisional (temporary) license with intention to secure a permanent license while working.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex medication regimens.
