Pharmacist - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

A specialty pharmacy seeks a licensed pharmacist to support Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services in an onsite role located in Baton Rouge, LA. This opportunity offers a contract-to-hire arrangement with an initial 13-week duration plus potential extension or direct hire.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and verify prescriptions in a specialty pharmacy setting
• Provide clinical support through Medication Therapy Management programs
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure appropriate patient care
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws
• Contribute to production duties within the onsite pharmacy environment

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current pharmacist licensure in Louisiana is required
• Also licensed in at least one of the following states, or willingness to obtain reciprocal licensing: Alaska, Arkansas, California, District of Columbia, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming
• Proven retail or specialty pharmacy experience, particularly in a production or MTM-focused role
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
