Pharmacist - Bay Shore, New York

A pharmacy operations role is available in Bay Shore, NY, offering an excellent opportunity for pharmacy technicians interested in expanding their expertise in inventory management and materials handling within a pharmacy environment. This direct hire position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and pack patient orders for shipment, ensuring all medication, supplies, and durable medical equipment arrive intact and compliant with policy.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the pharmacy, shipping area, and warehouse.
• Manage disposal of cardboard and trash in designated warehouse areas.
• Assemble shipping boxes and maintain adequate shipping supplies including packing materials and ice packs.
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing patient charts and coordinating shipments via FedEx.
• Engage in mid-year and annual pharmacy inventory counts.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, federal and state regulations, and compliance standards.
• Foster a professional work environment, demonstrating dedication, teamwork, and effective communication.
• Work safely at all times, reporting any hazards or safety issues promptly.
• Execute other duties as assigned by management.

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Background in pharmacy technology, with limited experience welcomed if eager to learn and grow.
• Previous experience in materials management, warehouse operations, or inventory control preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and basic computer operations.
• Ability to operate office equipment including scanners, printers, copiers, and phones.
• Strong organizational skills with an eye for accuracy and detail.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making.
• Team-oriented mindset, comfortable collaborating with both onsite and remote colleagues.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain mobile throughout the shift.
