A dynamic opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support pharmaceutical care at a 50-bed hospital located in Northern Wisconsin. This contract role offers a challenging and rewarding environment to apply and expand your pharmacy expertise in a supportive healthcare setting.
Location:
- Bayfield, WI (Northern Wisconsin)
Schedule:
- 12-hour day shifts
- 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
Duration:
- 13 weeks plus
- ASAP start
Key Responsibilities:
- Review medication orders for appropriateness including therapy, dosing, regimen, and possible drug interactions
- Provide pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing support
- Deliver clinical pharmaceutical care by participating in medication reconciliation and educating patients on discharge medications
- Oversee pharmaceutical compounding operations in compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for documentation and clinical review
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist with current credentials
- Strong knowledge of medication therapy management and hospital pharmacy operations
- Experience in pharmacokinetic dosing and anticoagulation management
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical compounding regulations and USP guidelines
- Comfortable working within EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems
- Ability to manage workload effectively during extended shifts and rotations
