This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist Specialist seeking a remote position supporting managed care pharmacy services. You will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality, evidence-based medication management for health plan members through collaboration with medical directors, nurses, and providers. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes while managing costs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care via Medication Therapy Management (MTM) programs
  • Manage population-based disease care initiatives and specialty pharmaceutical coordination
  • Review pharmacy and medical claims; conduct drug utilization reviews and develop clinical policies
  • Participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee activities
  • Communicate therapeutic recommendations tactfully to physicians and healthcare teams
  • Educate and consult with providers, members, and caregivers on medication management
  • Maintain professional development and stay current with clinical pharmacy best practices
  • Adapt to a fast-paced, evolving managed care environment with shifting priorities

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Active Pharmacist license in Oregon, Washington, or California
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managed care pharmacy including prior authorizations, audits, appeals, and ALJ court hearings
  • Strong knowledge of clinical policy development, drug utilization review, and medication therapy management
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to work collaboratively across healthcare teams
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic setting
  • Weekend availability rarely required a few times per year

Location: Remote position supporting members primarily in Oregon

Schedule: Monday through Friday, standard business hours
