A Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care in a small hospital setting. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with a focused patient census, allowing for impactful and personalized pharmacy services.
Location:
- Bedford, VA
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, day shift
Contract Duration:
- 13 weeks or more, with an ASAP start date
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to a small inpatient population (~10 patients/day)
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy and improve patient outcomes
- Monitor drug therapies, evaluate patient responses, and provide medication education as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Pharmacist license
- Experience in a hospital or similar clinical environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient care
