A Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility in Bedford, VA, is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to provide care in a small hospital environment. This contract position offers an excellent chance to apply your pharmaceutical expertise in a hospital setting with a manageable patient census, focusing on specialized patient needs.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shift hours
• Immediate start
• 13+ weeks duration

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and review medications for accuracy and appropriateness for approximately 10 patients daily
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care
• Monitor patients’ medication regimens and provide clinical support to improve outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Support inventory management and medication safety procedures

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia Pharmacist license required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience is highly preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge in medication management within a hospital or LTAC setting
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
• Detail-oriented with a focus on patient safety and quality care
