Pharmacist in Bedford, VA

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital setting. This role is ideal for a professional with a VA Pharmacist license and some hospital experience, who thrives in a focused environment serving a smaller patient population.

Location: Bedford, VA
Type: Contract (13 weeks+)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Day shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage medication therapy for an average census of approximately 10 patients per day in a small LTAC hospital
• Review prescriptions and monitor patient medication plans to ensure safety and efficacy
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and state regulations
• Provide accurate dispensing and counsel patients and staff on proper medication use

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Pharmacist license
• Experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a smaller, focused clinical environment
