Are you a PGY1 residency-trained pharmacist ready to transition into a travel role and further build your inpatient experience? A 250-bed community hospital in northern Indiana is seeking a Travel Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment with the option to extend. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a well-rounded acute care setting and gain hands-on clinical experience in a collaborative environment.

Location: Northern Indiana – a welcoming community setting with convenient access to nearby regional cities, dining, and outdoor recreation.

Assignment Details
Duration: 13 weeks (option to extend)
Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts per week
Shift: 1:00 PM – 10:30 PM (second shift)
Potential alternate schedule: 7 on / 7 off may be considered

Duties

  • Inpatient Responsibilities
  • Verify medication orders for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness
  • Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapy management
  • Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians
  • Participate in daily inpatient clinical pharmacy operations

Qualifications:

  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD
  • Recent completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency training preferred
  • 2+ years of acute care hospital experience
  • Active Indiana Pharmacist License
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
