A 250-bed community hospital in northern Indiana is seeking a Travel Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment with the option to extend. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a well-rounded acute care setting and gain hands-on clinical experience in a collaborative environment.
Location: Northern Indiana – a welcoming community setting with convenient access to nearby regional cities, dining, and outdoor recreation.
Assignment Details
Duration: 13 weeks (option to extend)
Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts per week
Shift: 1:00 PM – 10:30 PM (second shift)
Potential alternate schedule: 7 on / 7 off may be considered
Duties
- Inpatient Responsibilities
- Verify medication orders for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapy management
- Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians
- Participate in daily inpatient clinical pharmacy operations
Qualifications:
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD
- Recent completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency training preferred
- 2+ years of acute care hospital experience
- Active Indiana Pharmacist License
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
