A large, bustling hospital with over 500 beds located in a premier medical district is seeking a skilled pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment, with potential to transition to a permanent role. This opportunity begins immediately and offers shifts from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
Location: Bellaire, Texas
Schedule:
- 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM
- 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications for inpatient care
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient medication therapy
- Monitor patient drug therapies for efficacy and safety
- Document pharmaceutical care and adhere to hospital policies and regulations
- Use electronic medical record systems to manage medication orders
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Pharmacist License
- Texas IV Certification
- Minimum of 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
- Experience utilizing EPIC electronic health records system preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication safety and hospital pharmacy protocols
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
