A pharmacist opportunity is available in an inpatient behavioral health setting located in Council Bluffs, IA. This contract assignment begins May 18 and will continue until a permanent pharmacist is hired. The position requires weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday, working 6 hours per day.

Key responsibilities include dispensing medications accurately, managing the pharmaceutical needs of behavioral health patients, and supporting pharmacy operations. Experience with automated medication dispensing systems is important, as is familiarity with repackaging medications using systems such as Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL. The pharmacist will also be expected to load drugs into automated machines and run restock reports to maintain efficient pharmacy workflow.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Valid Iowa pharmacist license
• Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems preferred
• Ability to repackage medications using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems
• Basic knowledge of automated machine drug loading and restock report generation
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing
• Understanding of behavioral health pharmacy requirements is a plus
