Pharmacist - Bellevue, WA

An immediate opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy operations in a hospital setting near Seattle, WA. This role involves key responsibilities to ensure the safe and effective distribution of medications, with a focus on clinical accuracy and oversight of pharmacy staff.

Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoons
• 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders accurately using EPIC software
• Conducting final product verification checks to maintain patient safety
• Providing clinical drug information and answering medication-related queries
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Participating in emergency response situations, including Code Blue calls
• Utilizing IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis for medication management

Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with inpatient pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Strong clinical knowledge with a commitment to patient safety
• Ability to oversee and coordinate technician functions
• Effective communication skills and responsiveness in urgent situations

This contract position has an ASAP start date and is expected to last for 16 weeks, with the potential to convert to a permanent role. Candidates should be prepared to work a variable schedule to meet department needs.
