This role offers a compelling opportunity for a skilled inpatient pharmacist with hospital experience to support a critical care environment. The position requires 2-5 years of pharmacy experience, including previous hospital work, ideally within a Critical Access Hospital setting. The pharmacist will provide essential medication management services across multiple departments such as ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and Emergency.

Responsibilities:

  • Dispense and review medications for inpatients, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness
  • Support clinical pharmacy services in ICU, L&D, Med/Surg, and ED units
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Independently manage pharmacy operations during assigned weekend shifts
  • Utilize Meditech pharmacy information system; Omnicell experience is a plus

Qualifications:

  • Licensed pharmacist with 2-5 years of hospital pharmacy experience
  • Prior experience in a Critical Access Hospital highly preferred
  • Ability to work independently, particularly on every third weekend rotation
  • Comfortable working in a rural hospital setting
  • Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records preferred

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00/7:30 a.m. to 4:30/5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week
  • Rotating weekends (every 3rd weekend), Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Location:

  • Rural hospital in Berlin, New Hampshire
  • NOTE: Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local residents will not be considered
