A hospital in Berlin, NH is seeking an experienced inpatient pharmacist for a contract position providing comprehensive pharmacy services. This role supports multiple departments including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and Emergency. The ideal candidate has a strong background in hospital pharmacy, the ability to work independently—especially on rotating weekend shifts—and experience with Meditech and Omnicell systems.
Location: Berlin, New Hampshire
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00/7:30 am – 4:30/5:00 pm (40 hours/week)
- Rotating weekends every 3rd weekend: Saturday/Sunday 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
Start Date: ASAP preferred
Responsibilities:
- Dispense and manage medications for inpatient departments including ICU, L&D, Med/Surg, and ED
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient medication therapy
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and hospital policies
- Independently manage pharmacy operations during weekend shifts
- Utilize Meditech electronic health records and Omnicell automation systems
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years hospital pharmacy experience
- Comfortable working independently, especially on weekends
- Proficiency with Meditech preferred; knowledge of Omnicell a plus
- Ability to adapt to a rural healthcare environment

- This position requires a valid pharmacist license; New Hampshire offers a temporary license option for eligible candidates
