Per Diem Pharmacist in Bessemer, AL

This role offers an opportunity for a licensed pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care within an independent retail environment. The position is per diem, requiring availability 1 to 2 days per week, primarily during weekday day shifts. Work alongside a small team comprising pharmacy technicians and a cashier to serve an average daily prescription volume of 180 to 200.

Location:

• Bessemer, AL

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• 1 to 2 days per week ongoing

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process prescription orders using Quick Script
• Counsel patients on medication usage, interactions, and side effects
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Collaborate with technicians and cashier to maintain workflow efficiency
• Maintain accurate records and inventory controls

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with an active Alabama pharmacy license
• Experience in retail pharmacy settings; new graduates with internship experience are encouraged to apply
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and regulations
• Excellent communication and patient service skills

Compensation:
