A well-established retail pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support their Binghamton, NY location. This role is available immediately with options for contract to hire, ideal for candidates ready to contribute their expertise in a dynamic pharmacy setting. The position offers a structured schedule to maintain consistent pharmacy operations throughout the week.
Location: Binghamton, NY
Setting: Retail Pharmacy
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Sunday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to control and track inventory; order pharmaceutical stock to meet demand and maximize profitability.
- Accurately weigh, measure, and mix medications and medical compounds; fill prescriptions and dispense non-prescription medicines.
- Provide patient counseling and advice on self-medication, maintaining communication with healthcare and insurance professionals.
- Administer patient immunizations regularly, ensuring compliance with protocols.
- In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, manage scheduling, performance recognition, discipline, and assignment delegation to pharmacy associates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Current New York State Pharmacist License required.
- Current New York Immunization Certification preferred.
- Ability to start immediately.
