Per Diem Pharmacist - Birmingham, AL

Provide critical pharmaceutical expertise by covering per diem shifts in the Birmingham, AL area, specifically supporting the Soleo location in Hoover. This role focuses on verifying and checking medication orders to ensure patient safety and accuracy in infusion therapy management.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately check and verify infusion orders, including IV and TPN preparations
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to maintain safe medication administration
• Utilize CareTend system effectively for documentation and order review
• Adhere to all pharmacy protocols and standards for patient safety

Schedule:

• Wednesday, 9/2 through Friday, 9/4
• Shift hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current and valid Alabama pharmacist license in good standing
• Prior experience in infusion therapy preferred
• Inpatient pharmacist background with expertise in checking IV and TPN orders is acceptable
• Proficient in using CareTend or similar technology systems for order verification
