Pharmacist | Black River Falls, Wisconsin

A critical access hospital with 25 beds is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care in an engaging healthcare setting. This role is ideal for pharmacists interested in diverse clinical exposure, including Emergency Room, Labor and Delivery, and Medical-Surgical units, with minimal oncology involvement. The environment supports approximately 10-12 patients per day, utilizing Cerner EMR and Pyxis systems to streamline medication management.

Responsibilities include:

• Dispensing medications accurately and efficiently to inpatients
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
• Managing pharmacy operations within the hospital’s critical access setting
• Utilizing Cerner EMR and Pyxis to support medication documentation and safety
• Participating in patient counseling and education as appropriate

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Current pharmacist license in good standing
• Experience with hospital pharmacy operations, preferably in a critical access or similar setting
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Pyxis automation systems
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently during scheduled shifts

Location:

• Black River Falls, Wisconsin

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Sunday, 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
• Monday – Friday: 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Saturday – Sunday: 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM

This contract position begins with a first rotation starting July 6 and has a duration of approximately 13 weeks or longer, with flexibility for travel or relocation to Wisconsin.
