Pharmacist - Black River Falls, WI

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available to provide professional pharmacy services at a 25-bed critical access hospital. This role supports a variety of inpatient units including Emergency Room, Labor & Delivery, and Medical-Surgical, with minimal oncology responsibilities. Experience with Cerner EMR and Pyxis automated dispensing systems is essential.

Work Schedule and Hours:

• Monday through Sunday on a 7-on, 7-off rotation
• Monday to Friday: 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient safety
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize medication therapy for approximately 10-12 patients daily
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Manage medication inventory and utilize Pyxis systems for dispensing
• Document all pharmacy interventions in the Cerner EMR system

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid pharmacist licensure in Wisconsin or eligibility to obtain
• Strong familiarity with Cerner EMR and Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets
• Experience working in hospital settings, ideally with exposure to ER, Labor & Delivery, and Medical-Surgical units
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently during the rotational schedule

This contract assignment begins with a start date of July 6 and runs for a minimum of 13 weeks.
